Glastonbury Tor has been a place of pilgrimage for centuries, and no wonder. I mean look at the thing!

The only part of an ancient church that still survives, located on top of a natural midden in the middle of the countryside, a beacon for all towards the cathedrals of Glastonbury and Wells. The site of the last Bishop hanged by Henry VIII's troops.
Windy as all get out, the top afforded a marvelous view of Somerset and was well worth the extraordinarily steep climb.

The best antidote to the climbing muscle ache would be a pint of local cider. Which it was.
